Our usual choice for new master key systems

PREM 4.
Your keys. Your control.

PREM 4 is the patented keyway we normally use for new master key systems. Built on Access2’s TIGRIS® Premier4™ range, it pairs controlled key supply with a hierarchy designed around your building.

Add Lock & Key’s online management and you control who can order which keys, who approves exceptions, and where the record is kept.

Control at every step
01

Patented keyway

Controlled access to replacement keys.

02

Your ordering rules

Give each person access to the keys they need.

03

Your approval

Review requests outside their access before deciding.

Manufacturer-stated patent protection to 2042.

One range, designed around your doors

We start with your door schedule and who needs access. Then we specify the cylinders, individual keys, shared doors and master levels to suit the site, including room for planned changes.

Patented key and cylinder

Access2 specifies patent protection to 2042 for both the key and cylinder. Controlled blanks support a managed replacement-key supply.

A choice of cylinder formats

The range includes Euro, UK oval, Scandinavian oval, rim and cam-lock bodies, plus padlock options. We confirm the right sizes and functions for each door.

From individual doors to whole sites

Master and communal keying can bring offices, accommodation and shared facilities into one documented hierarchy.

TS007 1-star and 3-star cylinder options are available. Ratings, finishes and specialist functions depend on the cylinder specified; we confirm these in your quotation. Read Access2’s PREM 4 product data sheet.

You decide who gets the keys.

The patented keyway controls key supply. Your online system controls ordering permissions. Together, they give you control from the key profile through to the order decision: choose the people, choose their keys, set access dates and review requests that fall outside their permissions.

Before approving an exception, check the requester, delivery address and exact key references. Approve or deny the request, with the decision kept in your system’s history.

Planning a PREM 4 system

Is a patented keyway the same as a master key system?

They do different jobs. The hierarchy determines which doors each key opens. The patented keyway supports control over key duplication. PREM 4 brings them together, with online management for your ordering rules.

Can an existing system be expanded or changed to PREM 4?

Send us the existing system reference and the doors you want to add or change. We check the current platform and compatibility before recommending an extension or replacement; a PREM 4 key is not assumed to work in another range’s cylinders.

Does removing online access disable a key already issued?

No. Online permissions control future orders, not the operation of a physical key. If a key is lost or must stop opening doors, contact us to review rekeying or cylinder replacement.

What do you need for a quotation?

A door list, cylinder sizes where known, who needs access to each area, and any communal doors. Tell us about fire-door, security-rating, accessibility or finish requirements so we can specify the right options.

Restricted-order approvals

You decide who gets the keys.

An order outside someone’s access comes to you for approval. Check who is ordering, where the keys are going and exactly what they requested. Approve it when it checks out, or deny it when it doesn’t.

Pair these approvals with PREM 4, our usual patented keyway, for control over key supply as well as who can order. Every decision leaves a record in your system’s history.
