A key part of Astra’s pitch is testing and compliance: it highlights exhaustive testing in a UKAS-accredited test laboratory, including AVCP performance testing to 500,000 cycles plus batch/component testing. That’s basically them saying “this isn’t a ‘close-ish’ door closer, it’s a ‘close forever’ door closer.” 

In the trade channel you’ll commonly see Astra Door products sold as concealed hydraulic closers (including narrow-format models for tighter stiles), with features like adjustable closing speed and adjustable latching action depending on model—aimed at installers who want a clean look (hidden closer) without losing adjustability.
