UNION 1148 Deadbolt Nightlatch

The UNION 1148 Deadbolt Nightlatch is a high-quality, UK-manufactured rim cylinder deadlock designed for timber doors between 35mm and 60mm thick. This model is supplied as a case only (without an external rim cylinder), allowing you to pair it with any standard Yale-type or compatible rim cylinder of your choice.

Finished in a clean white enamel, this nightlatch features a robust 14.5mm deadbolt throw. Unlike standard spring-latches, the deadbolt must be manually locked or unlocked using a key from the outside or the lever handle from the inside. This design ensures that the door will not lock automatically when closed, significantly reducing the risk of accidental lockouts.

Suitable for both left and right-hinged, inward-opening doors, the UNION 1148 is ideal for residential and commercial applications. Please note that this lock is not recommended for glass-panelled doors.
