The Briton 5250-57 is a versatile, dual-profile mortice nightlatch case designed to provide reliable security and smooth operation for both commercial and domestic doors. This high-quality lock case is uniquely compatible with both Euro profile and oval cylinders, featuring a robust steel case with an included conversion plate to easily switch between cylinder types.

Engineered for flexibility, the lock features a fully reversible latchbolt to suit both left and right-handed doors. It also includes an anti-thrust bolt to prevent external manipulation of the latch when the door is closed, making it an excellent choice for doors integrated with access control systems. For added convenience, a hold-back function can be engaged using a knurled wheel on the forend, allowing the latch to be held retracted when free passage is required.
