BRITON 379EN Panic Latch
The Briton 379EN (also known as the 379.N) is a high-quality, surface-mounted push bar panic exit device integrated with a mortice panic nightlatch. Designed for single doors and the active leaf of non-rebated double doors (when paired with a Briton 376 panic bolt), it is ideal for public and commercial buildings where reliable emergency egress and enhanced security are required.
This robust exit device features an anti-thrust mechanism that prevents forced latch retraction from the outside, offering additional protection against unauthorised entry. The dual-profile lockcase is highly versatile, accepting both Euro and oval profile cylinders (please note, the cylinder is not supplied).
For ease of installation, the Briton 379EN is fully site-reversible to suit both left and right-handed doors. The tubular steel crossbar can also be cut down on-site to perfectly match your door's width. Supplied complete with all necessary fixings and self-adhesive "Push Bar to Open" signage, this unit is tested in excess of 200,000 cycles and is fully certified to BS EN 1125.
