The Briton 131 Overhead Door Closer is a compact, template-adjustable door closer designed for reliability and ease of installation. Featuring a robust cast aluminium body with a sprayed silver finish, it is ideal for low to medium-traffic areas in commercial, residential, and public buildings.
This non-handed overhead closer is highly versatile, offering adjustable power sizes from EN 2 to 4 depending on the mounting position. It features separate adjustments for both closing speed and latch action, allowing you to fine-tune the door's closing behaviour to suit your specific requirements. An optional hold-open armset is available as a special order item (please note that hold-open arms are not suitable for use on fire doors).
Supplied with a strong screw-thread armset and brackets, the Briton 131 is certified for regular door mounting (pull side), transom mounting (push side), and parallel arm mounting (push side). It is fully fire-tested and Certifire approved, making it suitable for timber fire doors up to 2 hours and steel fire doors up to 4 hours.
