ASEC AS17 Non-Deadlocking Nightlatch

The Asec AS17 Non-Deadlocking Nightlatch is a reliable security solution designed specifically for egress applications, such as student accommodation, hotels, and communal residential doors. Because this lever-action nightlatch cannot be deadlocked, the internal lever always remains active, ensuring a safe and reliable means of escape in an emergency.

An internal holdback snib is featured, which allows the latch to be locked in the retracted (open) position for convenient free passage. Crucially, the snib cannot be used to lock the latch in the closed position, preventing accidental lockouts and ensuring compliance with emergency exit requirements.

This nightlatch is suitable for timber doors up to 57mm thick (or 54mm if installed with an external cylinder pull) and features a standard 60mm backset. It is available in multiple finishes, including Chrome Plated and Dull Metal Grey with a Polished Brass cylinder. Please select your preferred finish option from the choices below.
