The Alpro Vortex AL2400 is a compact, high-security surface electromagnetic door magnet designed to offer exceptional physical security in a streamlined profile. Unlike conventional face-to-face magnets, the Vortex AL2400 features a patented design combining magnetic and mechanical holding forces. A conical aperture on the magnet receives a high-strength alloy pin from the armature plate, delivering an independently tested holding force of 1500kg while remaining up to 75% smaller than standard magnetic locks.
Engineered with safety and reliability in mind, this fail-unlocked (fail-safe) unit is ideal for emergency egress routes. It is designed to release instantly even under a side load pressure of up to 100kg once power is cut. The unit is highly energy-efficient, consuming up to 50% less power than traditional alternatives, and features built-in LED status indication alongside comprehensive triple monitoring of both lock status and door position.
