The Adams Rite 1354-0100 Mortice Shear Magnet (often known as the Armlock® 1354) is a compact, high-security mini shearlock designed to provide robust and concealed locking for internal doors or protected external doors. Combining electromagnetic force with physical mechanical interlocking, it delivers an impressive nominal shear holding force of 1500kg (3300lbs), making it an exceptionally strong security solution where minimal aesthetic intrusion is required.

This versatile, non-handed unit is suitable for use on left or right-hand hung doors made of timber, aluminium, or steel. It can also be fitted to glass doors using a separate glass door fixing bracket. Operating on a dual-coil 12V or 24V DC system, the shearlock is fail-unlocked (fail-safe), ensuring immediate egress in the event of a power failure.

To ensure reliable operation, the 1354-0100 features an intelligent retry facility that automatically attempts to lock up to 100 times if a slight door misalignment is detected. It also includes an adjustable locking time delay of 1 to 30 seconds and integrated monitoring via a Hall Effect switch to provide precise lock status feedback.
