The Yale No. 1 and No. 2 Auto Deadlocking Nightlatches are highly secure rim locks designed for inward-opening wooden doors. These classic nightlatches feature an automatic deadlocking mechanism that engages as soon as the door is closed, providing robust protection against latch-slipping or "carding" attacks.

An integrated internal lockable handle offers enhanced security, making these locks particularly suitable for glass-panelled doors where an intruder might attempt to gain entry by breaking the glass to reach the handle. A convenient snib function allows the latch to be held back in the open position when unrestricted access is required.

These nightlatches are available in two sizes to suit different door styles: the No. 1 model features a standard 60mm backset (84mm case width), while the No. 2 model features a narrow 40mm backset (64mm case width) designed for doors with narrow stiles.
