The ERA 1530 & 1730 BS8621:2004 Auto Deadlocking Escape Nightlatch offers the perfect balance between high security and vital fire safety. Specifically designed for external doors in multi-residential properties, flats, and other buildings, this nightlatch provides keyless egress at all times. In the event of an emergency, occupants can make a swift escape using the simple internal lever handle without needing to locate a key.

When the door is closed, the latch automatically deadlocks with a robust 20mm bolt throw, preventing common bypass methods such as "carding." The lock also features a convenient bolt hold-back facility (snib) on the lock body to temporarily hold the latch retracted.
