The outside handle (available as either a lever or knobset) turns freely without retracting the latch until a valid code is entered. Once a valid code is entered, the blue LED illuminates, allowing the handle to retract the spring latch, which automatically locks behind you when the door closes. For added flexibility, the key or keypad can be used to set the lock into a 'Code Free' passage mode, allowing unrestricted access without a code during busy periods.

This lock is available in multiple configurations, including lever or knobset handles, standard or fire-tested models (with some options supplied complete with an optional fire holdback kit), and varying weights.
