The Briton 1120B is a high-quality, power-adjustable overhead door closer designed for medium to high-traffic applications, such as offices, commercial properties, and living accommodations. It offers a spring-adjustable power size of EN 2-4, making it highly versatile for various door sizes and weights.
This door closer features independent hydraulic controls for closing speed and latch action, along with a built-in adjustable backcheck. The backcheck provides a cushioning effect when the door is opened with excessive force, preventing damage to the door, frame, and adjacent walls - ideal for busy environments. For added security and to prevent tampering, the adjustment valves are concealed.
The Briton 1120B is fully certified for use on fire doors, offering up to 2 hours of fire resistance on timber doors. It is CE and UKCA marked, Certifire approved (CF388), and tested to EN 1154 and EN 1634 standards. It is non-handed and fully reversible, allowing for easy installation on both left and right-handed doors across multiple mounting configurations (Fig 1, Fig 61, and Fig 66).
