UNION StrongBOLT Intumescent Sashlock Kit

The UNION StrongBOLT Intumescent Sashlock Kit is designed to maintain the fire integrity of timber doorsets when fitting morticed ironmongery. When a door is morticed to fit a lock, the fire resistance of the door can be compromised. This kit provides essential protection by sealing the lock area in the event of a fire.

Manufactured from a high-performance, ultra-thin (0.8mm) flexible graphite material, the intumescent sheet features a self-adhesive backing for quick and easy application directly to the lockcase. In the event of a fire, the material expands to many times its original volume, filling any gaps around the sashlock to prevent the passage of fire and heat transfer.

This kit is specifically designed to suit non-BS UNION StrongBOLT Sashlocks and is fully fire tested for use on 30-minute (FD30) and 60-minute (FD60) timber fire doors.
