Operation:

  • Operated from the outside by key in screw in cylinder
  • Operated from the inside by cylinder key, thumbturn, lever handle or paddle handle
  • Auxiliary bolt deadlocks the latch when the door is closed against the strike

Notes:

  • Holdback facility available by retracting latchbolt and turning the key anti clockwise
  • Accessories, including strikes and faceplates are supplied separately
  • When measuring the backset include faceplate
  • Interchangeable with MS1850 deadlock without modification
  • Compatible with Adams Rite 7100/7101 series electric strikes
  • If used in emergency exit applications with a 4591 paddle handle be sure to specify the 8461 ramped jaw strike to comply with BS EN179+A1: 2001
